Price range: £36.99 through £37.99
Edward VIII was born on 23 June 1894 and became King of the United Kingdom on 20 January 1936 following the death of his father, George V. He became famous for his relationship with Wallis Simpson, an American divorcee whom he wished to marry. Because the proposed marriage created a constitutional and political crisis, Edward chose to abdicate on 11 December 1936, becoming the only British monarch to voluntarily relinquish the throne. His younger brother Albert became King George VI. Edward was later created Duke of Windsor and married Wallis in 1937. He lived mostly abroad and died on 28 May 1972 in Paris.
Please select a colour option below. Colour statues are as shown in the main product image and typically, bronze metalic finish on a white stone marble effect base. White statues are plain white and allow for painting. All statues are made from a durable lightweight plastic.
